My list of accolades is fairly short. I’ve been a bank teller, cleaned houses and been a Mary Kay consultant and car driving Director. While each of these jobs paid the bills for the season, they didn’t give me what I really needed; a place to express myself creatively. I am self-taught in my craft. I’ve learned everything in this business by committing myself to research and learning by trial and error. Everything in my store has been thoughtfully designed, carefully formulated, and lovingly created so as to pour a small part of myself into every product.
And that’s why I love doing what I do. I agree and pattern my business after what Mary Kay taught: At the end of the day, P&L doesn’t stand for profit and loss. It stands for people and love.
